To Apron or Not to Apron...



A little random fluff for a wednesday - to apron or not to apron?

This little thought came about after a discussion with one of our MamaBakers and how inevitably you end up with food/water SOMEWHERE during the entire process (and if you don't - please tell me how you do it because I'm SHOCKING for it).

One of our MamaBakers (Lauren) *did* have an Apron, I say did because sadly it was lost in transit during a recent move - but the spirit of that apron lives on in the form of the little person she is currently baking away :P

This was Lauren's little apron - adorable huh? I know in my house the white would last all of about three seconds but a girl can dream *sigh*


And then I was talking with another MamaBaker about what would be the best apron - half or full - I guess it depends on where you are the most messy - me I'm a side/bottom half of clothing hand wiper so I need a half apron...maybe one of these..


Which is just 2 x fat quarters sewn together with a layer of cotton lace inbetween for a ruffle edge - not that hard to do at all (and you get two for the price of one).

So - do you apron? I'm thinking I might have to get my sewjo on and throw one together to save myself some washing up (ok I'm justifying the purchase of material - I've been good and not been to Spotlight in *AGES* so I may be suffering some withdrawls).

If anyone wants to make one I have a tonne of links here I can throw up - it can be as simple as 2 tea towels sewn together or elaborate and covered in ruffles and lace - choice is upto you :)
