This is how I feel today - I am doing the happy dance :)
Why you may ask? Well I received a message via Facebook (see it's not always the place of evil that it can be) from a friend in another part of Sydney - she is going to take the MamaBake idea and run with it in HER local community!!
This just blows my mind - I am so proud to be a small part of a movement that is claiming back our village, providing families with the support they need to be able to have more time to spend as a unit, providing people who would otherwise not have social contact with vital adult interaction.
This week our little group is meeting tommorrow (as I have other appointments on friday) and there are SEVEN members coming - SEVEN!!! That means I don't have to cook anymore than once this week (again - happy dance - it's not that I don't enjoy cooking, honestly) which means I (along with everyone else in our circle this week) have more free time to spend doing other things we mightn't have been able to do :)
How can that not be a win/win situation? You cook once (sure this week we're each cooking for 30 people) but it's only ONCE and that's it for the rest of the week.
And now I'm off to start my savoury muffins to go along with the pumpkin soup I'm making (other delights this week include: Scotch Egg Loaf, Fettucine Bosciola, Butter Chicken, Casey Stew) - I love my village.
ps.....All recipes will be included under pics of the meals after we make them *if* the person who made it wants to share the recipe.
